The AIDS Solidarity Movement (Movement) aims to reach the point where People Living with HIV (PLWH) face zero stigma and zero discrimination in their lives. Our mission is to achieve a higher quality of life for PLWH in Cyprus, support them to participate in the decisions that affect their health and empower them to have a voice of their own. The Movement offers psychosocial support to PLWH for more than 25 years, and promotes interventions related to combination prevention, through the “Cy Checkpoint”, the Information and Prevention Centre for HIV and other Sexually Transmitted Infections. We aim to create a society that allows everyone, including PLWH, to lead healthier lives, to enjoy their sexual and romantic relationships in a safe space, where people can express themselves with respect to one another.
