AIDS Solidarity Movement (or the Movement), is a Non-Governmental and Non for Profit Organization registered in the Republic of Cyprus. It was established in 1989 and since then it provides services, support and advocacy, related to HIV/AIDS issues.
Milestones
Psychosocial Support
Since 1995, the Movement has been providing psychosocial support to all people diagnosed and/or affected by HIV/AIDS,
both in and outside the State HIV Reference Clinic.
Cy Checkpoint
Since 2015, the Movement has been running Cy Checkpoint, a CBVCT centre (Community-based voluntary counseling and testing service). Through Cy Checkpoint we provide free, anonymous and rapid HIV and Syphilis testing, pre-test and post-test counseling, we promote Combination Prevention via dissemination of condoms and lubricants and we provide knowledge development and trainings, in a welcoming, secure, safe and non-judgemental environment.
Cy PrEP-point
Through Cy PrEP-point, we provide important information regarding PrEP to the people who already use it, as well as for those who require access to it.
